It is hard to believe we are beginning the second semester of the 2023-2024 school year because it feels like only yesterday we were preparing for the start of the school year.
Just before winter break we completed our second round of i-Ready testing. We will mail home these reports with Quarter 2 report cards early next week. Please reach out to your student’s teachers if you have questions regarding their performance in class.
As a reminder, each student has a weekly expectation to complete two i-Ready lessons in both Reading and Math each week. Please partner with us by asking your child if they have completed the weekly expectation, and

To continue promoting a positive school community and engagement at school, we will be celebrating First Fridays second semester. The first Friday of each month will have a dress-up day, and most months will have a corresponding activity during the school day.
- January 5: Warm Winter Friday (flannel, fleece, winter hats, scarves)
- February 2: Justice Thurgood Marshall Friday (purple, gold, Giants gear to show our pride)
- March 1: Book Character Friday (dress as your favorite book character; Dr. Seuss Day is 3/2)
- April 5: Spring Things Friday (pastels, flowers, baseball, sunshine)
- May 3: Last Luau Friday (Hawaiian shirts, leis, and grass skirts)
