As we enter the month of Thanksgiving, my heart is full of gratitude for our Justice community. I am thankful for our dedicated teachers who pour their hearts into helping every child grow, our eager student learners who bring energy and curiosity to each day, and our supportive families who partner with us in countless ways. I am especially grateful for the opportunity to serve and lead such a caring and committed school family.
We have several important dates ahead!
-
First Friday Dress-Up Day is coming soon—Flannel Friday on November 7! This fun tradition of celebrating each First Friday is one of my favorite things about Justice. Looking ahead, our December First Friday theme will be Blue Christmas—a cozy, festive way to welcome the season
-
November 12 is our eLearning Day. Students will bring home their devices and/or assigned work before that day, and teachers will spend the day in professional learning sessions.
-
Picture Retakes will take place on November 14.
-
Our fundraiser items will be delivered on November 19. We will have items ready for pick up at 3:00pm. We will be at the school until 6:30 pm for pick up. Please note, if your student sold more than a few items, we will not be able to send it home with them on the bus. Please make arrangements for pick up on this date.
As we continue to grow as readers, please encourage your student to read 20 minutes each day at home. Just 20 minutes of daily reading helps expand vocabulary, strengthen comprehension, and build confidence that carries into every subject.
Thank you for continuing to partner with us in supporting your child’s success. Remember, you are always welcome to reach out to your child’s homeroom teacher or our office to schedule a parent-teacher conference at any time. Together, we can help every GIANT continue to grow!
This is our time to Grow as GIANTS, and we continue to dedicate our time and energy to this task. If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to reach out.
