From Principal Rumple: September is full of opportunity at Justice!

It is hard to believe that we have reached September in the 2025-26 school year. Our learning this year will continue to focus on student growth and achievement in the classroom and with academics, but we will also be focused on our character as we strive to be GIANTS. In our homeroom time this month we are focusing on being the best versions of ourselves.

Reading is a crucial skill for your student to practice each day. Reading at home each day for 20 minutes can have a profound impact on your student and their success. Daily reading promotes critical thinking skills, social/emotional development, and helps spark lifelong learning. Ask your student about their reading. Have them give you predictions about the characters/plot and follow up with them to see if their predictions came true. Do not hesitate to reach out if you have questions or want other strategies to support reading skills at home.

We hope to see you at our parent/teacher conferences on Friday, Sept. 26! (Click here for details.)

Sept. 22-26 is College Go Week. At Justice Intermediate School we will use this week to focus on future opportunities for our young Giants. We will celebrate the week with dress up days:

  • Monday, 9/22: college gear (shirts, hats, sweats, etc.)
  • Tuesday, 9/23: military appreciation (support a branch of the military or wear camouflage/patriotic colors)
  • Wednesday, 9/24: dream job (dress up like someone in your chosen profession)
  • Thursday, 9/25: dress your best (dress up like you would for an interview)

Our fundraiser will kick off Sept. 24 and run through Oct. 8. It is a brochure fundraiser with delivery before Thanksgiving break. More information will come home with your student after the kickoff meeting. Thank you for supporting our cause. The money raised provides incentives for student activities.

I thank you for your continued support and partnership in the education of all of our students. This is our time to Grow as GIANTS, and we continue to dedicate our time and energy to this task. If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to reach out.
