From Principal Rumple: Let's end the first grading period strong!

Fall is in full swing, bringing with it the end of the first grading period, fall break, and fun holidays.

Our first grading period ends Oct. 11. I encourage you to speak with your student regarding his or her grades and any final assignments for the quarter. If you find your student is still in need of extra help, our tutoring program has started and runs every Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday from 3:45 to 4:45 p.m. until May 1, 2025. Please contact the office if you are interested in signing your student up for tutoring. (Transportation is available).

Fall break is Oct. 21-25, and we hope everyone is able to take advantage of the break to rest and recharge as we head into the final stretch of the first semester.

We will continue to go outside for recess as long as the weather cooperates. Students may want to make sure they have a jacket or sweatshirt in their locker for the days they go out for recess.

To continue promoting a positive school community and engagement at school, we will continue our Justice tradition of celebrating First Fridays throughout the school year. The first Friday of each month will have a dress up day, and most months will have a corresponding activity during the school day. Our First Friday dress up days for the rest of first semester are as follows:

  • October 4, 2024: Fall Friday (wear fall colors)
  • November 1, 2024: Flannel Friday (wear flannel shirts)
  • December 6, 2024: Blue Christmas Friday (wear blue)

I thank you for your continued support and partnership in the education of all of our students. This is our time to BEE GIANTS, and we continue to dedicate our time and energy to this task. If you ever have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to reach out.
